The East African Community has improved business environment for entrepreneurs after implementing critical reforms, the World Bank said today. A World Bank report, released Wednesday in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura, ranks Rwanda top performer in the region, number one in starting business with two procedures and two days compared to an average of ten procedures in other EAC countries. The IFC and World Bank Report on doing business in the region is an analysis of global doing business report. The country has also undertaken ambitious land and judicial reforms, introduced new corporate, insolvency, civil procedure, and secured transactions laws.
